Cheeky keepsakes to mark jubilee Queen

Now I’m not much of a monarchist (sorry Ma’am), though I guess most of them do a decent job most of the time. And I’ll take the day off, thank you very much.

But, in the run up to the day off Queen’s diamond jubilee celebrations, I’ve been really enjoying seeing the commemorative gifts arrive in shops. It seems to be bringing out the slightly cheeky side in our retailers, designers and crafters.

Gone are the straight-forward, celebratory and sycophantic china pieces proudly displayed by our grandparents and in their place are some tongue-in-cheek, witty keepsakes dedicated to Her Maj’s 60 years on the throne and our characterful capital.
