DIY Paris print T-shirt transfer

You know I’ve been dreaming of Paris recently, right? Got me thinking of this T-shirt I DIY-ed a while ago using a simple transfer sheet. Do you think wearing it in Paris would be a bit uncool? Perhaps teamed with a beret and a baguette?

Here’s the step-by-step.

1. Take a plain tee…

2. …and some T-shirt transfer sheets. You can get these anywhere. As you can see I picked these up with my weekly shop. You are basically going to follow the instructions on the packet but I’ll tell you what I did anyway. Make sure you get the right sheets for your printer type {i.e. laser or inkjet}.

3. Make your chosen image the right size on your computer and print it onto a transfer sheet. {Yes, I always have a pot of flowers right next to my printer}. For this vintage Eiffel Tower image I must credit the wonderful Graphics Fairy, who has thousands of vintage clip art images and printables suitable for all sorts of projects. Do visit her site but make sure you’ve got some time on your hands.

4. Cut round your image as close as you can to the edge.

5. Put your image face down on to your tee and iron it. Again, you will follow the transfer sheet instructions but let your iron linger for a good few seconds over each part of your transfer sheet.

7. Peel away the backing sheet very carefully.

 Ta-da!
