Wedding hair inspiration: real flower crowns

By | September 12, 2012

A little while ago, I featured the beautiful silk flower crowns made by Zoe Taylor of The Wimslow Collection. Zoe crafts pretty wedding hair garlands using silk flowers.

While a silk flower crown could be kept as a permanent souvenir of your wedding day, sometimes only the lush fragrance of the real thing will do.

To inspire you, it’s a pleasure to share this shoot by Mya of Silvery Moon Photography, based near Haworth, West Yorkshire.

The flower crowns are by Daisy Creative and are made of roses, peonies, delphiniums, lisianthus, wax flower and anemones.

I think they’re just what real flower hair garlands should be: full of colour, variety, texture and volume. And I love Mya’s use of soft light which gives a real femininity to the photographs and model Natalie.
