I’ve been feeling a little cooped up of late. Not that I haven’t been out and doing things. I have, and that’s part of the problem, because it hasn’t really given me the time to get out out into some big sky country.
One of the reasons living in Yorkshire is so special is that we have these amazing landscapes right on our doorstep and I love to go and explore, on two wheels or two feet, clear my head of the minutiae of normal life, forget about checking my Twitter feed, remember how small I am and just take deep breaths and gulp in the freedom.
I’m hoping to get a chance to do that before the colder weather and lack of light becomes too prohibiting, and I’m excited that I will have a new pair of boots to do it in.
My old Hi-Tecs have served me well and seen a lot: they’ve walked me down the Grand Canyon and up Snowdon and Helvellyn.
I’ve been thinking of replacing them for a while so jumped at the chance to review this pair of mid walking boots. I’ve only tried them on in my bedroom so far but they felt so comfy and light I had trouble taking them off and changing into my work shoes.
